Youth in Sustainable Aquaculture.

The Youth in Sustainable Aquaculture (YISA) Program, a partnership with the Mastercard Foundation aims to enhance resilient livelihoods through innovative aquaculture practices.

​The project aims to change perceptions of the potential offered by the aquaculture sector for entrepreneurship and employment, building knowledge and capacity so that young people,especially women, are attracted by the opportunities and growth potential offered by working in aquaculture. It will also address socio-cultural norms and attitudes to increase the inclusion of women in a sector that is currently male-dominated.

 

   Location: Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya, Kakamega, Busia, and Kilifi

   Ages:  23 -32 years from the six counties to join the YISA program.
