Powering Growth in Aquaculture
Aquarech is Africa's first full-stack intergrated fish fish farming platform, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Kisumu, enabling small and medium sized farmers particularly women and youth to transition from subsistence to commercial aquaculture. As a market creating innovation, Aquarech serves the non consumption economy: smallholder farmers, women, and youth who have been excluded because inputs, credit, and markets were too expensive or inaccessible.
Through contract farming we create a reliable pull effect guaranteeing market access and steady demand. The model blends cage leasing, non -colateralized input loans through AquaFedha, fingerling and feed supply, technical assistance , and market linkage via Fish Farmilia and Fish Deli, all powered by blended finance. The result is pulling food systemsforward to uplift communities, with participating farmers transitioning to profitability.
